Kristin Beery

Kristin  married into a beef, poultry, and crop farm in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. She is an Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor for Augusta County Public Schools, where she has been teaching agriculture to middle and high school students for the past eight years. Kristin’s passion for agriculture and her students is evident by her students many successes at State and National FFA Conventions and having been named Teacher of the Year twice in her teaching career. Kristin graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Animal and Poultry Sciences and a MS in Career and Technical Education. In her spare time, you can find Kristin helping her husband James, on the farm or traveling and serving overseas in Haiti.

Quote regarding her participation in VALOR: I am excited to be a member of the third class of VALOR by networking with other agricultural leaders across the Commonwealth and gain a greater understanding of the Agriculture Industry, not only here in VA but across the globe. I am looking forward to being a part of this outstanding group and sharing these experiences in my classroom and community.
